TIMESMALAYSIA, PROBOLINGGO – Most of Indonesian are a fan of motorcycle. Almost every house has one to three motorcycle. It's because it will make you easier to go around the city with it for the traffic. Amin Sutejo (42) of Probolinggo took a chance by recycling some old motorcycle tires and turned it into tire wall.

Amin is a local citizen of Slinga, Kaligondang, Probolinggo who work as a farmer. The idea was all started with his concern towards the huge number of used motorcycle and car tires around his house.

"I used around 3000 motorcycle tires for my wall which has around 130 m² in diameter," Amin said on Saturday (1/2/2020).

Still according to him, the waste has become a major problem to the local community. It makes the local area looks dirty and messy.

Meanwhile, the local community and government appreciated his effort. They even asked his help to build another tire wall such as the one in district border, in Bojongsari and at the Slinga dam.

Furthermore, for the appliances, he only stacked the tires and filled them with mud. The wall doesn't reduce any green area and the the centre of it could be filled with some plants.

The tire wall could also reduce the number of mosquitoes hatched. As we all know that rain which goes into the tire usually will be used by mosquitoes as their nest to lay their eggs.

Amin of Probolinggo would like to take everyone to recycle some waste around their house through the tire wall. His innovation has become a bright idea to help any area reducing some waste and turned their place into a more beautiful place. (*)
