TIMESMALAYSIA, SURABAYA – As the world’s fourth most populous nation, Indonesia depends highly upon protein from the ocean a.ka. fish to feed its population. Tom Liwafa and his partner who aware of this issue open a restaurant in Surabaya called as Kedai Ngikan.

Kedai Ngikan literally means as the let's eat fish restaurant. As its name, the restaurant will served you with various menu made of fish.

Located in Nginden Semolo Kavling 101 Surabaya this food shop served various meals made of fish with a modern packaging. This restaurant is the second branch after their first restaurant in Jakarta.

"I don't see lots of restaurant which served fish on their menu. And as Indonesian who lived in an island which surrounded by the ocean, we need a campaign, so everyone could love and will consume fish more," Tom Liwafa said on Kedai Ngikan Surabaya grand opening on Saturday (16/11/2019).

Still according to him, this restaurant is not merely a business spot where he and his partner gain as much as profit from their customers but this restaurant is merely an answer to help raising the welfare of the fisherman around and also to maintain the nutrients consumed by his customers.

On the grand opening, there were spotted people are lining up to taste their menus. This is a good sign for the Kedai Ngikan restaurant to spread their wings around East Java area and make people love fish more. (*)
