TIMESMALAYSIA, MANOKWARI – Minister of Finance (Menkeu), Sri Mulyani Indrawati stated that West Papua will receive the Budget Implementation Entry List (DIPA) Rp. 28.34 trillion in the year 2019. This was conveyed by Sri Mulyani when inaugurating the Manokwari State Financial Building, West Papua.

Minister of Finance revealed, the construction of this building is an effort of the Ministry of Finance to bring closer and improve services to the community in West Papua. "With the Ministry of Finance present in all corners of Indonesia, we want to be partners of regional governments who are loyal to serve and continue to encourage development in the region," said the Minister of Finance.

For the Budget Implementation Entry List (DIPA) in 2019, Minister of Finance said, West Papua Province will receive a budget allocation of Rp. 28.34 trillion both from the Ministry / Institution Expenditure Budget, Transfer to Regional Funds, and Village Funds.

"We hope that the allocation of funds can be a driving factor in progress in West Papua province, both physical and social infrastructure and can really felt by all West Papuans," said the Minister of Finance.

The budget details are allocated to the General Allocation Fund (DAU) of Rp. 8.3 trillion, Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH) of Rp. 4.3 trillion, Special Autonomy Funds of Rp. 4 trillion, physical Special Allocation Funds (DAK) of Rp. 1.85 trillion, Village Funds IDR 1.52 trillion, non-physical DAK IDR 855.4 billion, and Regional Incentive Fund (DID) of IDR 63.3 billion.

Minister of Finance also expressed her gratitude to the Governor of West Papua along with his staff for the realization of the construction of the State Finance building. She hopes that this will be a synergy, good relations and service to all stakeholders can be improved.

Present at the inauguration included the Governor of West Papua, Regent of Manokwari, Regional Police Chief and others.

Furthermore, Minister of Finance said that the APBN is a fiscal instrument that has an important function, not only to advance the welfare of the people but also as a driver of government in all regions in Indonesia.

Towards the end of the year and welcoming the New Year 2019, she requested that the Regional Government is able to carry out spending well and increase the implementation of the 2019 budget.

It was also reminded that on January 1st, 2019 it may be a red date but the APBN must start working for the people. "The Ministry of Finance doesn't only focus on building a good State Finance building like in West Papua, but also works hard to build a system and a corruption-free and clean service bureaucracy," she said.
